relieve & cleanse everyday test
With antibacterial properties, Lucas' Papaw ointment has been treating and relieving minor cuts, wounds and rashes - also known to provide temporary relief for dermatitis and eczema.
In 1876, Dr. Thomas Pennington Lucas discovered the healing properties of papaw upon migrating to Australia. He opened Vera Hospital in Queensland where his patients were treated solely by his papaw remedies. There, he made fantastic record and results of diseases being cured that were previously deemed incurable.
This traditional formula has been revised to perfection, hand peeled and fermented in Dr. Lucas' factory in the Brisbane suburb of Acacia Ridge, using fresh Queensland papaw for 4 generations. Winner of the most popular lip balm in Trip Advisor's Travellers' Choice Awards 2 years running, Lucas' Papaw is now shipped and stocked in pharmacies and supermarkets globally.
Celebrities advocate and love the product and use Lucas' Papaw as a compliment to their daily beauty routines. Today, Lucas' Papaw is recognised for its natural remedies for minor cuts and wounds, skin conditions, dry and chapped lips, hair and face care and even nappy rash. It is still the original and trusted multipurpose household brand in Australia, and around the world since 1910.

The papaw used in Lucas' Papaw Ointment is fresh Queensland grown produce because we believe that a quality product requires quality ingredients.
The carica papaya fruit is received fresh to Lucas' factory in Brisbane where it is fermented under strictly controlled conditions. Every piece of fruit we use is hand selected and fermented to just the right level before being added to make our Lucas' Papaw ointment. The finished product contains only 0.1mg/g of Potassium Sorbate which acts as a preservative to give you a long lasting product.
For the base we use a pharmaceutical grade petroleum jelly and wax and does not any contain polyplasdone, polyvinylpyrrolidone, talc, shellac, palm oil, glycerin or sodium lauryl sulphate.
Lucas' Papaw Ointment meets the purity and safety standards of the United States FDA and the European Pharmacopeia.
A very small amount of Gum Balsam Peru is used to neutralise the aroma in Lucas' Papaw Ointment and we stringently test our products to ensure it is of the highest quality. Our commitment to quality is important to ensure you only get the best.
The manufacturing process is in complete compliance with the Code of Good Manufacturing Practice as administered by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
